It's my last night of my twenties, and I'm spending it blogging. Sigh... Well, actually I spent it buying really cute blue high heels and some other new clothes. Gotta turn 30 in style! Yes, it's true. My twin and I turn 30 tomorrow. Chad and I have a fun day planned together, and I know I will have his complete undivided attention because I made him do all his homework ahead of time! I'm such a taskmistress...
I got back to Iowa City on Friday after a truly wonderful time with Drew and Bettina. Drew and I managed to get 5k of cross-country skiing in, even though there was barely any snow ANYWHERE in Minnesota! Luckily there's a place right near Duluth that actually makes snow for the trails! The trails weren't in the best condition, but hey, at least we got out there!

Twins being silly together!
On Friday before I left Duluth, Drew and I took a little walk on the shore of Lake Superior. It made me really excited to come back during the summer. I'm sure there are lots of fun outdoor activities! After our walk, I went to the Dunn Brothers coffee shop where Drew works. It's such a cute building! Just like a log cabin! Drew was learning how to roast coffee that day, and I got to watch as the coffee beans went from green to a nice rich brown! They also make a popping noise near the end of the roasting cycle. Being a coffee lover, it was pretty neat to see the process!

On Saturday Chad and I went to dinner with his fellow law student Courtney and her wife Sarah. They actually made the trek to Tiffin and we went to our local Mexican restaurant. I never complain about that! Afterwards we all came back to our place, and I made martinis, which Sarah bravely tried. However, I'm not sure she knew what she was getting into! After a few polite sips, Chad told her she didn't have to drink it, and I offered her a different drink, which she gladly accepted. :-) I suppose dirty martinis aren't for everyone! More for me! Mmm, olives...
Well, I'm going to enjoy my last few hours of my youth! I fully expect to wake up with gray hair, aches and pains, and contempt for young whippersnappers! Have a great week!
