Hi everybody! Well, somehow Chad roped me into writing the blog this week, so please bear with me as I write this rather late night blog post...
We're currently in Iowa with Chad's parents, after having spent 3 nights in Minneapolis with my twin Drew. We twins had an excellent day of fun at Noah's Ark Waterpark, even though the weather was far from perfect. Hey, we were already wet from the water, so what does a little rain matter? The weather was beautiful for our time in Minneapolis though, and we enjoyed some time outside, which included a barbecue in Drew's lovely backyard, frisbee in the park, and a round of mini-golf at a course that was created by a sculptor. Definitely the most creative and beautiful mini-golf course I've seen! Our friend Dan was with us for all these events as well, and as always, it was great to see him!

Our time in Iowa started with a family day to celebrate Tim's birthday a few days late. It was wonderful to see everybody all together! Hard to believe how fast those kids are growing though... Tyler is starting 4th grade and Ethan 2nd... I had a bit of a shock when I realized Tyler could be driving in 5 years in Iowa, since you can get a permit at 14 here. Oh my.
Since we warmed up with mini-golf last week, today it was time to play with the big kids, and Chad's parents took us golfing at a beautiful course. I reminded myself how to hit the ball (most of the time) at a driving range yesterday, and due to Chad's and his parents' unending patience, we all had a superb time. I'm still amused by the fact that you can drink beer and drive a golf cart, so we all had a round of beer halfway through the game!

The beer options are getting better!

We have two full days left in Iowa, and then it's back to Germany for both of us. We're so happy we get a few more weeks in Frankfurt together before Chad goes to Hamburg, even though we're on different flights going over to Germany! Hard to coordinate return flights when our starting points are different... But we'll end up at the same place eventually! So, until next week, when we're on a different continent, have a great one!
So many fun times together!
