Hey All! Brenda and I have been having a great time with her family in Wisconsin. We went up to Door County for a night last week and we squeezed in a lot while we were there. We went to the beach, took a hike, and even got to enjoy a sunset. The weather was very cooperative. The only downside about going to Door County is that eventually you have to leave.

Jim saw a frog while we were on our hike, and I took a picture of it. Can you find it?
Brenda, Drew and I also went to the drive-in movie theater while we were in Door County. We saw The Dark Knight Rises (fantastic) and Dark Shadows (not fantastic). I love going to drive-in movies. The only bad part is sometimes people forget to turn their headlights off or their car alarms go off. I’m afraid that we were guilty of the latter offense on this trip. During the intermission we left our car and walked to the concession stand to load up on popcorn and soda. I decided to lock the car doors even though our windows were rolled down. I realize that only deters thieves that have very short arms but I figured it was better than nothing. As we were walking back from the concession stand Brenda got to the car first. She discovered that the doors were locked so she started to reach in through the open window to unlock the door by hand. What she didn’t know, however, was that doing so would set off the car alarm. I attempted to call out to her, but I had stuffed my mouth so full of popcorn that all that came out was, “mmmm! MMMM!”. Unsurprisingly, she didn’t hear my moans and our car alarm went off. Luckily the second movie hadn’t started yet and we were able to get the car quieted down before it did.

Since coming back from Door County we’ve been jogging, relaxing, and eating wonderful home-cooked meals. We took a trip to the Appleton farmer’s market on Saturday and made several delicious purchases. We also took a trip over to Point Beach which is on Lake Michigan and enjoyed a walk along the beach and a picnic.

Unfortunately, our time in Wisconsin comes to an end tomorrow. Brenda and I will be headed to Minnesota to visit Drew and Dan for a few days, although Brenda will be making one stop before we get there. Drew and Brenda are going to be spending a big part of the day tomorrow at a giant water park in the Wisconsin Dells called Noah’s Ark. It’s not my cup of tea, but the twins couldn’t be more excited about it. I hope you all have a great week, and I’ll talk to you next Tuesday!
